QA Bags: Seeking Answers Through Faith-Inspired Bags
Compartir
QA Bags began as an answer to a mother's prayer. Our faith-inspired bags were created to be carried with purpose, to spark gentle conversations, and to keep the Savior close in daily life. Each design reflects my lifelong habit of asking questions and seeking answers.
Life Is Full of Questions
Some are simple: What’s for dinner? Can I borrow the car? Have you seen this movie? Other questions reach the soul: Why am I here? What is my purpose? How can I make it through these hard times? From morning to night, our days are shaped by what we ask and the answers we seek.
My Own Journey
My journey began as a little girl in Hong Kong. I often wondered, “Who is God? Is He real? If so, what does He look like? What does He have to do with me?”
My answers came when two missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints taught the restored gospel to my parents, my siblings, and me. They shared truths I had never heard, and those truths immediately felt right. I learned that God is not a distant mystery. He is my Heavenly Father, and I am His daughter—made in His image and loved beyond measure. I could not see Him, but I could feel His love.
Another question had lived in my heart, born from both curiosity and fear: What happens when I die? I found peace in learning the Plan of Salvation and realized that through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can return to our Father in Heaven and live with Him in joy and peace. From that time on, I understood that life’s most important answers come through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
A Mother’s Questions
Questions didn’t stop as I became a mother. They became more urgent.
When my son Philip was eight years old, he was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Later, at sixteen, he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome (now referred to as High-Functioning Autism), along with Anxiety and Depression. His diagnoses filled me with fear, uncertainty, and overwhelm. He’s bright, compassionate, and full of potential, but the world didn’t always know where to place him.
For many years, I kept searching for answers. We tried evaluations, medications, therapies, training programs, and schools. Each attempt offered hope yet often ended in disappointment. One question haunted me: How could Philip live a fulfilling and independent life with a sense of worth and belonging?
An Answer I Did Not Expect
In the summer of 2023, an unexpected answer arrived. Philip received a low-rent apartment in Provo through ScenicView Academy and found a steady but unfulfilling restaurant job. For the first time, I encouraged him to apply for Social Security benefits, thinking that it would bring the financial stability he needed.
As Philip finished the paperwork and we prepared to schedule the appointment, a strong impression came to me: “Stop.” I remembered Philip saying he had never been given a real opportunity at work and that what he needed most was a mentor.
The answer came clearly: “You are the one to give him a job. You are his mentor.”
That was the moment QA Bags was born—not just a business, but a mother’s answer to a long, intense prayer.
Building QA Bags Together
At first, I worked alone and planned to invite Philip in later. In December 2024 the restaurant closed and he lost his job. In January 2025 he joined me full-time. The timing was exactly right.
We’ve been learning side by side. I knew little about e-commerce. He brought a logical mind, thoughtful writing, and computer skills. His education was not wasted. Best of all, he is recognizing his strengths and feeling his worth. My prayers were being answered.
Why “QA” Is More Than a Name
QA stands for Question and Answer. It’s our name and our heartbeat. Every bag we design is a reminder that questions are worth asking and answers are worth seeking. Some answers come quickly. Others take years. Some arrive in ways we never expected. Sometimes the answer is simply to keep moving forward in faith.
That’s why our products are practical and also meant to spark meaningful conversation.
Our All-In Pouch carries a Plan of Salvation diagram on the front. It turns a simple pouch into a way to teach and remember where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going—the very questions I wondered about so long ago.
Our Go and Do has a gospel-themed lining and can be embroidered with "hear Him." It's a quiet invitation to ask, "Am I listening for the Lord's voice in my life?"
When you carry a QA bag, you carry a story. A question. And, we hope, a reminder that answers do come.
More Than Bags. It's a Mission.
My love for creating began in my parents' textile factory in Hong Kong. They taught me to value quality, to build with purpose, and to put love into the work of my hands.
That heritage guides QA Bags today. Faith, family, and careful craftsmanship are woven into every design. Working together with Philip, this is more than a business. It's our family's mission: to inspire, to uplift, and to point hearts toward God.
An Invitation
Thank you for reading our story. Whether you choose the All-In Pouch, the Go and Do Missionary Bag, or another piece from our collection, you're not just carrying a bag. You're carrying a conversation starter, a testimony builder, and a piece of my heart.
May the questions you carry lead you to answers that bring peace, joy, and purpose.
Sincerely,
Isabella
